Hey there!

My name is Amanda and I am a frontend engineer. I love creating clean, responsive digital user experiences and have a deep passion for accessibility and ensuring that every user has an equitable experience on the web. Before I was an engineer, I was a challenge course facilitator, a residential summer camp counselor, a juice and smoothie barista, and a produce manager. These previous experiences, although not directly related, taught me how to be adaptive, learn quickly, work under pressure, and work effectively as a team. I thrive off of direct, clear communication and participating in highly collaborative environments. I also believe in continuous learning and self-improvement, seeing it as a never ending practice. I am always looking for ways to become a better version of myself as an engineer and as a person.

Some fun facts about me:

  • I am a huge outdoors person and love all kinds of outdoor activities, especially hiking, biking, paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, snowboarding, and wakeboarding.
  • In Human Design, I am a 5/2 Self-Projected Projector and I would love to tell you more about what that means.
  • My top Spotify wrapped artist for the past 3 years has been JoJo - no not JoJo Siwa, think “Leave (Get Out)” JoJo from the mid 2000s. I have also been in her top 0.005% of listeners each year.
  • I'm a big romance reader in my spare time, my kindle has a couple hundred books on it and counting.
  • I was a competitive equestrian from between 8 to 13 years old. At 10 years old, I was a year end champion in three classes as well as a reserve champion in the overall standings.
